Blues legend and national treasure B.B. King cancelled the remaining eight shows of a concert tour after falling ill on October 3rd in Chicago. King, now 89 years-old, was diagnosed with dehydration and exhaustion. He’s now said to be at home and “feeling better.”
When I’m 89, I just hope I’ll be at home and able to say that I feel reasonably sentient. The band will just have to hit the road without me. Best wishes to B.B. King, who besides his own enormous talent has always been a brilliant and classy ambassador for the blues and for great music, period.
Below is just one of countless great performances of his that can be found on YouTube, this one also featuring the late, great, Bobby “Blue” Bland.
